Application rejected on the portal

Rejection means the registry workflow did not accept your application as a beneficiary—at least for now. Causes can range from eligibility mismatches to bank verification failures. This guide helps you think clearly about next steps. We do not describe formal appeal tribunals unless published by the government.

Common rejection themes

  • Age outside 25–60 as recorded officially
  • Residency or document mismatch
  • Declaration conflict (e.g., tax payer or pensioner flags)
  • Duplicate application detected
  • Bank account not valid for DBT / seeding failure
  • Incomplete or inconsistent form data

The portal may show a short reason—or none. Lack of detail is frustrating but common.

Steps to take after rejection

  1. Log in on the official portal and read every available message or rejection note.
  2. Compare your details against eligibility rules on our eligibility page, then against live portal declarations.
  3. Fix bank/Aadhaar seeding issues at bank or through official UIDAI tools if that was the problem.
  4. Check whether the portal allows re-application or correction windows—follow on-screen buttons only.
  5. If still unclear, call the news-reported helpline after verifying number on official notice, with application ID ready.

What we cannot promise

Annapurna Check cannot overturn rejections, submit appeals on your behalf, or contact the department internally. Be wary of people claiming insider access for a fee.

If government publishes a formal reconsideration or appeal process later, it will appear in official notifications—not on unofficial blogs first.
